Dr. Snigdha Rai is an experienced Gynecologist and obstetrician having more than decade of clinical experience. She began her medical education by earning an MBBS degree from Weifang Medical University in Shandong, China between 2005 and 2010. Furthermore, she also completed her MD degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) Bir Hospital, Kathmandu in 2016. To develop her skills, Dr. Rai further pursued a fellowship program to gain advanced knowledge in Gynaecological Oncology at the same institution where she obtained her MD degree. With the help of this program, she learned to diagnose and treat gynaecological cancers. 

She has worked at many institutions before she started working at Venus Hospital. Dr. Rai started working as a medical officer in an Emergency department at Patan Hospital, Lagankhel, in  2011. After that, she has been serving as a senior registrar at Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital from 2017 to till now. Along with this, she worked at the National Academy of Medical Sciences as an Assistant Professor and is now an Associate Professor at the same hospital. She specializes in prenatal care, postpartum care, fertility treatment, cervical cancer screening and managing menopause.
